Seismic data processing on Reversing time migration(GPU solution)

With the develoment of high-performance computing technology and the wide application of the imaging technology based on one-way wave equition algorithm, currently the research focus is moving onto the seismic imaging technology based on the two-way wave equition (reverse time migration) algorithm, hopefully the imaging effects can be further improved. However, the amount of calculation will be raised by one order of magnitude or even dozens of times. In order to solve the problems arising from lacking computing power, Sugon has launched its W580I GPU-based high-performance cluster solution.

The core computing unit adopts Sugon W580I high-performance server, thus every node can support at most 4 GPU accelerator cards, and provides as high as 2.66T double-precision floating-point performance and 5.32 single-precision floating-point performance. The network unit adopts high-speed 40G/56G Infiniband network system that can effectively solve the bottleneck problems in data transmission. The entire system adopts the mainstream Cluster structure, and comes up with good expansibility in the aspects of the computing performance, network scale and the storage capacity etc.
