Background

With rapid socioeconomic development and urbanization, pollution has become increasingly regional and secondary. Implementing the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan and the Blue Sky Project Action Plan, the project strengthens the province’s air-pollution monitoring capacity and addresses gaps in haze transport, automatic source apportionment, regional-transport early warning, and ambient air-quality forecasting.

Scope of Work

• Construction of six boundary-station buildings;

• Installation and maintenance of instruments in the stations (heavy metals, OC/EC, lidar, ion chromatography, and others);

• A regional atmospheric comprehensive observation and analysis platform.

• Spatial distribution of air quality, city AQI ranking, city excellent-and-good ranking

• Particulate chemical-composition analysis, particulate optical-property analysis

• Ozone-pollution analysis, formation potential, sensitivity analysis, indicator species, VOCs analysis, EKMA curves

• PMF source apportionment, transport matrix, forward dispersion, backward source

• Lidar comparative analysis, pollution-transport analysis

Quality-control platform:

• Data review: manual quality control (initial review, re-review) and automatic review

• Quality control: instrument operating-status monitoring, data comparison checks, data logic checks, collection-rate statistics

• Instrument maintenance records, fault-maintenance records, O&M notices
