China Construction Bank Wuhan “new generation” core system

Wuhan Nanhu Data Center is a key part of the bank’s “two locations, three centers” layout. It holds China Construction Bank’s most complete historical data for storage, processing, and use, supporting 37 tier-1 branches nationwide and 251 overseas institutions across 29 countries and regions. As business grew, the Wuhan data center needed to maximize computing capacity within a fixed power budget and lower operating cost.

Anhui grassroots flood-warning system

In September 2016, the General Office of the Anhui Provincial Government issued the Three-Year Action Plan for Accelerating Post-Disaster Water Conservancy Restoration and Constructive Treatment of Weak Links in Anhui, fully launching post-disaster water conservancy restoration and constructive treatment of weak links, of which an important item is rural grassroots flood forecast and warning. In May 2017, the Ministry of Water Resources, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Finance issued the Implementation Plan for Accelerating Construction of Post-Disaster Water Conservancy Weak Links, specifying Anhui’s investment scale and specific projects and arranging 57 counties (cities and districts) in Anhui to carry out rural grassroots flood forecast and warning system construction.

CEPRI New Energy Building NWP operations center retrofit

The numerical weather prediction operations center is on the fourth floor of the China Electric Power Research Institute science and R&D center building, with a floor area of 500 square meters, of which the main equipment room is 300 square meters and the exhibition and consultation analysis room is 200 square meters. The UPS battery room is on basement level 2, with about 108 square meters of usable area. The outdoor air-conditioning site is on the fourth-floor podium roof.

Panjin big-data integration and application service platform

Once completed, the Panjin big-data integration and application service platform will provide citywide data exchange and sharing, data management and monitoring, and data-application services. CAS Institute of Geology ranked-cabinet cooling for solid-Earth big data

The CAS Class-A Strategic Priority Research Program “Big Earth Data Science Engineering” was formally approved on 1 January 2018, with a five-year implementation period. The program pools strengths from multiple CAS institutes to build a big-data cloud service platform covering resources, environment, biology, ecology, and other fields, advancing Earth big-data technology innovation, major scientific discoveries, and one-stop, all-round macro decision support. The goal is to establish an internationally influential, open International Earth Big Data Science Center in Beijing Huairou Science City.

The dedicated computing project of the CAS Computer Network Information Center for Big Earth Data Science Engineering hosts dedicated computing for the program. The new equipment room covers about 495 m². Following national codes and equipment-room design standards, and combining specific requirements with the building structure and the principles of safety, reliability, and appearance, the design comprehensively considers equipment-room management, operator workflows, safety, equipment and material transport, and installation and maintenance for heat dissipation. Stable, efficient operation of this dedicated compute data center requires reliable equipment-room infrastructure to keep IT systems efficient, stable, and reliable.
