CloudView 5.0 includes the virtualization management platform OVM (OpenStack Virtualization Management), PaaS (Platform as a Service) functional components, and the cloud-management platform CMP (Cloud Management Platform). CMP uses a unified CloudAPI component to schedule and manage OVM and PaaS resource capabilities. The product logical architecture of CloudView 5.0 is shown above.
(1) Resource management layer OVM
Compute and storage nodes support multiple host OSes, including UOS and customized CentOS; the customized CentOS is enhanced mainly in stability and security. Server virtualization is based on KVM, with complete compute-management functions including cloud-host instances, bare metal, images, snapshots, and more; storage virtualization is based on the distributed storage service CloudView DSS for unified management of storage servers, providing stable, efficient storage for the cloud platform; network virtualization is based on NFV for virtual routers, virtual load balancers, and other VNFs, and a self-developed SDN controller for VNF configuration and virtual-network construction. In addition, this layer implements relatively complete O&M monitoring, with real-time monitoring and alerting on performance and capacity usage of compute, storage, and network resources, raising O&M efficiency.
(2) Platform-as-a-Service layer PaaS
PaaS functional components are value-added components based on OVM, providing key platform-service support including cloud database services and big data platform services. Cloud database services based on MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and more provide stable, reliable service; by simplifying delivery, optimizing runtime performance, strengthening management experience, and raising security protection, they realize stable production delivery of databases. The big data platform integrates multiple big data capability components, providing users a one-stop enterprise big data platform environment.
(3) Interface layer CloudAPI
All infrastructure services support API access; CloudView CMP also uses the same API interface to invoke OVM resource-management functions.
(4) Cloud-management layer CMP
CloudView CMP as a whole uses a microservice framework, docks with OVM via CloudAPI, and implements complete operations and O&M management for users and cloud-platform managers, providing a unified cloud-service access portal. Meanwhile, based on a built-in flexible multi-cloud management framework, it can support unified management of heterogeneous resource pools and multi-cloud.
